"Mad" King Ludwig's Castles

sunny 70 °F

We got up early and made our way to the ticket office by 8:00 am to pick up our tickets for out tours of King Ludwig's Castles. We first toured Hohenschwangau Castle, Ludwig's boyhood home.

Then we got some coffee and pastries before we trekked up the hill to the famous Neuschwanstein Castle, the ultimate fairy-tale castle.

After the tour we walked up the hill to Mary's bridge for the best view of the castle.
